Sr. Cognos Developer for the Business Intelligence Center. The Business Intelligence Center (BIC) is responsible for deploying reporting and analytical solutions across and outside the company.
The Senior Cognos Developer will be responsible for the design and development of complex cognos reports, framework manager model, Modeling Cognos BI Analytics cubes and dashboards. Senior cognos developer will be responsible for technical design document.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements, logical specifications and translate them into solutions
Design and develop analytic and reporting solutions using Cognos 8, Oracle, SQL and potentially other standard web and reporting tools to support business reporting and analysis
Design, develop and implement complex Cognos 8 solutions
Design and develop dashboards, key performance indicators and other solutions
Work with architects to develop data models, design specifications, and metadata documentation
Collaborate with other cross-functional IT architects (e.g. Data Warehouse team)
Required Experience/Skills:
10+ years experience in Business Intelligence
5+ years experience using Cognos products to design and build Cognos architectural models to support business reporting
3+ years experience in the Cognos 8 suite of Business Intelligence tools. Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Metric Studio, Metric Designer, Event Studio and Reports Administration
3+ years experience in Oracle and Informatica
Experience integrating Cognos 8 with SQL Server and Oracle
Excellent communication, decision making, time management, presentation, human relations, and project management skills
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Cognos Certification
Experience in a BPM or BAM project |
