| Description: | We are searching for a development team/technical lead to solve complex business problems with automated systems incorporating .NET (VB.NET or C# .NET) and Oracle Databases.
Our client is an established firm specializing in distribution of audio and video media. They are mid-migration to a rich, web-enabled platform to improve the interface to an ever growing client base.
LOCATION
Toledo, OH area (comfortable commute from Ann Arbor)
COMPENSATION
Contract-to-hire: up to 50/hr (potentially more for an exceptional-fit candidate)
REQUIRED
- 10+ years of IT support and/or development
- .NET development experience (FoxPro experience would be useful but not required)
- Experience developing against an Oracle database (Oracle Indexing and Performance Tuning)
- Experience with the following would be beneficial: Win Forms, LINQ, MVC, Team Foundation Server Management
- Team Lead and Project Management experience
- Candidate must be someone who can help lead all internal development work, mentor team members, and establish guidelines and standards to be used by the development team.
- You should be experienced in herding cats, migrating technologies, motivating people and driving efforts to completion.
- You don�t need to be the best developer on the team � but you do need to be able to pull your weight and add value, and you do need to be good enough to know when the wool is being pulled over your eyes.
OVERVIEW
This position will analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems incorporating .NET and Oracle Databases. The candidate will provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business objectives in a timely matter. This is also an important leadership role within the organization. Knowing how to lead, how to keep people on track, when to use the carrot and/or the stick is essential. Client's primary goal is to provide better and more cutting edge services to their customers and partners, and keeping efforts on track and on time is essential.
