| Description: | Performs routine laboratory examinations, such as urinalysis, blood and fecal examinations. Examines all specimens for diseases or illnesses and prescribes treatment. May quarantine animals if needed. Inoculates and immunizes animals prior to adoption. Performs surgical procedures such as spaying and neutering of animals. Conducts antemortem and post-mortem examinations. Records and maintains animal control medical history of each animal. May perform euthanasia. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. |
| Qualifications: | At the time of application, applicants must:
1. Be licensed from the State of Michigan as a Veterinarian.
2. Have five (5) years experience working in a hospital or animal clinic with at least three (3) years experience performing spaying and neutering of animals.
3. Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
