Support the design, development, packaging, testing, for vehicle interior components

Position Responsibilities:
� Component design of interior components
� Material selection and BOM development
� Interfacing with OEM to define vehicle level functional specifications
� Interfacing with the customer Product Design Office for 1st surface appearance and feasibility
� Developing component level specifications
� Product Assurance Planning (APQP)
� Component DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
� Component DVP&R (Design Validation and Reliability Report)
� Component Timing
� Proactive Quality Plan to meet customer�s fit and finish requirements
� Reactive Quality Problem Solving
� Supporting Supplier Quality through Process Sign-off (PS)
� Work with customer to release components via Change Management System (CN�s)
� GD&T and component drawing development
� Current Model Engineering Changes
� VAVE cost save opportunity tracking and execution
� Give design directions to CAD designer
� Performs other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
� Basic knowledge of UG and/or Catia
� Advance Manufacturing Feasibility Skills

� Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
� 5 years minimum experience in Automotive Product Design of Automotive Interior Trim Components
� Vehicles launch experience preferred
� Design of leather wrap components preferred
� International travel required
