Job Description:
Business Consultants serve as the liaison between business areas and the Information Technology team. They typically receive requests for system modifications and are responsible for researching the needs of the business and communicating those needs to our Technology Team. Business Consultants will also be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities and potential process improvements. Business Consultants must be great communicators, tactful diplomats, problem solvers, thinkers, analyzers, and possess the ability to understand and respond to user's needs in rapidly changing business environments.

| Duties: | Job Responsibilities:
- Formulate and define process scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements

- Devise or modify procedures to solve problems

- Analyze business and user needs then document requirements

- Manage basic project phases, coordinate and drive communication, force decisions, and follow through on the execution of projects

- Maintain a solid understanding of the mortgage and web/software develop industry

- Keep business unit informed of changes by issuing notifications

- Actively participate in providing end user training
- Gather feedback regarding necessary improvements to the current purchase process. Work with the different technology teams to get these changes implemented and prioritized correctly. Work with training and licensing to make sure we have sufficient state coverage. Working with marketing to implement changes that will impact lead-to-close. Prepare frontline to launch and support purchase operations.

| Qualifications: | Requirements:
-Knowledge and experience within the e-commerce or web/software development industry

-Knowledge and experience within the mortgage industry

-Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency

-Analytical and creative thinker
-Client-oriented (internal and external)

-Able to communicate with and make presentations to end users, managers, and peer groups

-Has a good technical understanding of the system he/she represents and how it impacts the business

-Must be able to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities


Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
1-3 years of mortgage related experience and/or 1-3 years of system-related experience
