Position Summary:

The Information Technology Consulting team, which is part of Plante Moran�s Management Consulting Practice, is looking for an IT Consultant to join their team. Our consulting team assists clients in running more efficiently by creating strategic technology plans, system selection, as well as conducting IT assessment studies. We invest the necessary time to fully understand the client�s needs and tailor recommendations specifically to them.

Position Accountabilities:

• Engagement project management and overseeing client relationships
• Participate directly in preparing and submitting proposals for generating new work
• Preparing and making presentations to clients
• Management of multiple assignments
• Creation of Information Technology (IT) assessments, Strategic technology plans and process reengineering, and Organization Assessments
• Business development activities including identification and closing on new engagements with existing and new clients as well as developing a strong referral network

Desired Qualifications

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION

• 2+ years consultant experience
• Bachelor�s Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or similar discipline required; Master�s Degree in Finance, Engineering or Public Administration preferred
• Information Technology (IT) and/or engineering knowledge/experience in the Public Sector preferred
• Experience with selecting and/or implementing ERP solutions in the Public Sector preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding time management and organization skills
• Superior attention to detail and conscientious quality of work product
• Professional demeanor with superior oral communication skills
• Project Management, PMI Certification preferred

TRAVEL and HOURS

• This is an exempt position that may require some Saturday work hours and overtime during workweek
• Strong preference for qualified individuals to reside near Metro Detroit, Michigan. No relocation funds will be provided
• 50% national travel is required with this position
