JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for implementing Lean/Continuous Improvement methods in assigned areas of the plant. Manages assigned customer programs. Monitors and leads lean projects and takes necessary action to insure overall project success. Creates and fosters team work principles.
Duties:JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

� Promotes an atmosphere conscious of environmental, safety and health practices, ensuring compliance with all quality and safety protocols.
� Understands and performs daily job duties in a manner which supports the plant�s goals and quality objectives.
� Performs time studies to establish production goals. Restudies certain operations upon request, due to changes in customer specifications and equipment improvements.
� Establishes program timing. Creates timeline for overall program activities.
� Coordinate multi-discipline team activities. Ensures that responsible resources are assigned to activities defined by the overall program timeline and all APQP elements.
� Monitors and reports customer program ongoing status. Advises responsible personnel and customer representatives of concerns associated with the program.
� Conducts and attends regularly scheduled meetings to ensure program status issues are communicated, both internally and externally.
� Project management and tracking on new products including, but not limited to: tool design review, manufacturing feasibility review, maintenance and creation of bill of materials and part routing sheets, program timing, completing process FMEA�s, interfacing with divisional/engineering sales and customers relating to new products, completing capacity analysis on new product creation of operator instructions, and preparing required paperwork associated with program management.
� Writes Standard Work Instructions, calculates Standard Goal Changes, discusses time-study and production flow with operators to create best work path for production flow. Reviews all labor variance and missing cost information.
� Performs project assignments involving data collection, packaging, program development, installation and project review. Refers to specifications, goals, production schedules and reports, inspection and scrap reports, standard cost sheets etc., in collection of required data.
� Designs CAD drawing of plant and places new equipment in production area.
� May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Performs other related duties.
Qualifications:JOB REQUIREMENTS:
� Bachelor�s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
� 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
� Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change, and motivated to exceed expectations
� Possesses statistical knowledge and the ability to apply analysis techniques to product and process improvement projects
� Possesses a solid understanding of Manufacturing Principles including Process Information and Material Flow
� Ability to give presentations to all levels of management, customers and vendors
� Statistical ability to analyze data in establishing work methods
� Ability to train others and track the functionality of its effectiveness
� Good verbal and written skills are needed
� Ability to interface with hourly and upper management
� Ability to handle multiple projects
� Must be self-motivated and self-managed
� Must be driven for results, action-oriented, and possess strong problem solving skills
� Must have excellent interpersonal skills, viewed as a respected leader with knowledge and vision
