UX Developer (1440-AA)

• 3+ years work experience in a development organization
• 4+ years work experience with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
• Proficiency in cropping & optimizing production artwork using a design tool such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Fireworks

• 4+ years work experience as a UX/UI Developer for web applications within a commercial or enterprise product development environment
• Expert level knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX, including experience working with UI frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype, etc.
• Comfort authoring a presentation layer within an advanced web application framework such as Django or .NET
• Knowledge of security exploits used against Web applications and how to mitigate risk of their occurrence
• Successful track record with cross browser implementations
• Proficiency in a variety of Mac-based design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and OmniGraffle
• Proven ability to document complex UI layout & interactions
• Ability to successfully manage several projects simultaneously
• Background working in start-up environment and level of responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality software against aggressive, iterative deadlines
• Previous experience in healthcare software, healthcare industry, or business intelligence

• Aid in the development of solutions that support consistent information architecture, taxonomies, visual standards, interaction patterns, and use cases across multiple applications
• Review designs, document front-end technical specifications, and provide time estimates for the implementation of features/fixes
• Convert production mockups to quality HTML5/CSS/JavaScript for multiple enterprise software products
• Self-start and steward your implementations through the software development process ensuring you champion the standards of the UX team in every development challenge
• Maintain a close working relationship with a geographically distributed development team in an evolving agile environment
• Follow common sustainable page design, management, and development methodologies
• Perform testing at the page & source for presentation layer defects

• This is not a .NET or Django developer role. Having the ability to program server-side technologies is surely a big plus. It will help you understand the power and limitations of the platform when working with the product development teams. However, you will not be writing C# or Python code in this role.
• This is not a usability analyst or designer role. While knowledge of common usability patterns & practices is a sizable part of this role, it relies heavily on your ability to actually implement the visual treatments and compelling interactions that come about from your close work with the UX Designers.
• This is not a "code-monkey" role. Your creativity & resourcefulness will be a huge part of this position as you provide new ideas for interactions and advanced UI functionality. For each development challenge you will be expected to advocate and take ownership of the entire presentation layer implementation process. You are the �feel� in the �look + feel� equation.
