| Description: | 
We are searching for a Technical Support Specialist to implement and support subscriber installations to our client's Web-based products and services, as well as manage their software-as-a-service hardware platform.
Candidate must have solid understanding of databases and data structures in order to assist subscribers in pulling data out of their systems and getting that data to our client for implementation.

COMPENSATION
55-70K plus 20% bonus potential (plus robust benefits package)
REQUIRED
- 2+ years experience in a client/customer support role for
- Experience with basic Linux system administration
- Experience with basic database administration
- Experience with shell scripting
- Experience with database reporting technologies such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal Reports, Cognos, etc.
- Experience with establishing secure data connections through SFTP, etc.
PREFERRED
- Health care industry experience
- Experience working in a small company or start-up environment
- Experience with Apache server installation, configuration and maintenance
- Experience working with a software-as-a-service application
- Demonstrated knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration and PSQL commands
- Experience working with database imports of various text file formats including delimited, HL7, CCD, CCR, XML, etc.
- Experience with Python a plus
- Experience with Mirth a plus
- Experience with Health Information Exchanges (HIE), EMR, and/or PMS systems is a plus
OVERVIEW
- Develop and provide expert knowledge for designing, developing, testing and maintaining interfaces in a healthcare environment working on assigned applications including Practice Management Systems (PMS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Health Information Exchange (HIE) systems with the express purpose of extracting data to fulfill the input requirements for client's products
- Work toward becoming an expert in one or more assigned applications
- Work with subscribers to determine the most appropriate data export capabilities of their EMR/PMS/HIE systems
- Build data extraction channels from appropriate subscriber systems to fulfill the input requirements of client's products using any technology available including built-in reporting tools, direct SQL queries of system databases, third-party extraction tools, etc.
- Works closely with staff to ensure that extracted data is well formed and meets product requirements
- Work closely with members to understand how their data is entered into their systems
- Proactively suggest process change within a subscribers' practices to enable richer data for export allowing for better product utilization
- Work closely with subscribers' staff to establish remote access to their systems to reduce travel and debugging delays during implementations
- Maintain existing data extraction channels
- Troubleshoot system issues
- Preserve strict discretion of all confidential and EPHI (Electronic Protected Health Information) and HIPPA regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the Implementation Project Managers
- Provide technical expertise and support to subscribers
