Position Summary

Responsible for leading the creation and execution of the marketing and business expansion strategy for the assigned Industries/Services

Duties:Position Accountabilities

  • Have leadership role in developing, proposing, and implementing appropriate marketing plans that consider and utilize multiple channels (ie web, collateral, advertising trade shows etc)designed to raise awareness and attract prospective clients. Link activities / results to business plan for industry / service area
  • Ensure the geographic needs for assigned industry / service are met working with regional marketing team
  • Conduct research on the industry, sub industry or service needs in assigned Industry, service or geography to identify trends and issues affecting prospects and clients business
  • Use strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with ability to gain alignment and agreement on implementing multi - faceted marketing initiatives and solutions with internal clients that are aligned with business goals
  • Build and maintain expert level of knowledge in the firm CRM system and related electronic tracking tools to aid in the development and tracking of prospect lists and pipelines. Lead the development of CRM skills for the practice staff so they understand the advantages of using the system to build the firms practice
  • Requires the ability to effectively balance longer-term strategic issues with day-to-day tactical project issues like proposals, trade shows and prospect client programs
  • Coordinate efforts with Industry/Service/Geographic Marketing Consultants where there are joint marketing opportunities, appropriately delegate to administrative resources
  • Provide coaching and training on business development skills as related to professional networking to internal clients while maintaining a personal network of industry contacts
  • Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing new business opportunities and initiatives, work closely with business development manager (s) to cultivate target lists for industry / service
  • Ensure the business development efforts are �linked� for all partners and senior associates, monitor progress of new client pursuits, and help to eliminate road blocks in converting targeted prospects to clients
  • Assists with new business pursuits through coaching and assisting with qualifying, meetings, presentations, proposal & rfp responses
  • Manage projects, product and service launches, trade shows and market research tasks to consistently exceed clients� expectations. Requires a high degree of creativity since many of these initiatives are new and no template exists on how to best leverage in the market
  • Provide strong marketing communication to both internal and external to promote the firm�s capabilities and prompt desired actions
  • Works with the Marketing Operations team to develop and execute an advertising and public relation campaign which meets the needs of the service / industry and the Firm
  • Counsels management in marketing/advertising matters
  • Develops marketing tools/templates for firmwide use
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Able to identify additional revenue opportunities
  • Expert level skills with Microsoft Project, MS Office (especially Power Point & Excel), MS Visio
  • Ability to coordinate information flow with multiple sources (Management, Partnership, team, staff, etc.)
  • Strong management and supervision abilities; strong facilitation skills
  • Hign degree of enthusiasm
  • Promote positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firm
  • Contribute to a positive team attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrate effective time management skills by completing assignments within calendar schedules
  • Comes up with new and unique ideas to introduce new products and improve sales/profitability of existing products and services
  • Accountable and driven to suceed, driven to expand business
  • Has the functional and technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment
  • Picks up technical matters easily
  • Ability to travel regionally



Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Marketing or other related business degree


Experience

  • Requires at least 7+ years of experience in marketing
  • Professional Services experience is a plus
  • Person in position frequently communicates with staff who have inquires. Must be able to exchange information in these situations.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver�s license are required including a clean driving record
  • Minimum levels of auto insurance coverage are required
Travel & Hours

  • This is an exempt position that may require some Saturday work hours and overtime during workweek.
  • Qualified individuals must either reside in or near Southfield or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.
