| Description: | Under general supervision, performs duties requiring expert ability in one or more of the following structural, finishing or mechanical building crafts: carpentry, electrical, masonry, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, and/or heating, cooling and refrigeration or related craft fields. Performs the skilled and difficult repair, alteration and modernization work required in the maintenance of either Oakland County facilities and equipment or Park and Recreation buildings, facilities and pool mechanisms. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
The primary responsiblities of this position will be working on masonry projects including installing footings, working with flat cement, building with bricks or blocks and foundation work. |
| Qualifications: | At the time of application, applicants must:
1. Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test.
2. Have a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
3. Have had at least four (4) years of full time work experience in a position involving one or more of the following building, craft and/or mechanical fields: carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing pipe fitting, welding, heating and air conditioning/refrigeration. |
