Salary Range:70,000 - 80,000

Description:Our Client is looking for an Application Engineer for our Power Transmission Business Unit located in Troy, Michigan.

Our Client is a leading global supplier of engine and accessory drive systems and components. With a focus on innovation and total customer support, They designs, develop, manufacture and validate durable, high quality original equipment parts for light-duty, on- and off-highway heavy duty, and recreational vehicles including: belts, tensioners, idlers, pulleys, sprockets, dampers and isolators.
Duties:� Serve as the primary engineering liaison between the customer and all functions within Client to properly communicate customer requests.
� Evaluate/analyze systems and components for conformance to customer and Client requirements.
� Coordinate APQP activities with cross-functional teams for customer platforms, from concept through production.
� Develop system specific FMEAs and related verification plan
� Coordinate systems validation tests to ensure needed information is gathered in a timely fashion.
� Lead system and product failure analysis using team oriented problem solving.
� Identify future product needs to maintain and grow Client position in the marketplace.
� Build a strong relationship with the external customer.
Qualifications:� A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
� A minimum of 5 years of industry experience preferably with at least 3 years of experience with like products and preferably working with heavy duty on- or off-highway vehicle manufacturers.
� Must have a high level of knowledge of APQP.
� Must be proficient in written and oral communication.
� Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
