| Description: | POSITION OVERVIEW
The Designer is product and design responsible from concept phase until SOP, main focus: sunroof system including integration of system components, create concept proposals, CAD design considering package and tooling requirements, interface to internal team, suppliers and customers, support purchasing, sales, testing, production.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
� Foster good communication with all the other Roof Systems Engineering teams including the Centers of Expertise
� Obtain and understand the voice of each local Customer for Product Strategy and Customer Strategy (spoken and unspoken needs)
� Ensure the robust application of bookshelf solutions in line with the product strategies of the Centers of Expertise
� Proactively support Design and Engineering teams in the execution of projects
� Incorporate Engineering and Manufacturing criteria in concepts
� Create new product ideas and concepts that define visual brand character
� Implement product Design changes
� Expertise in UG NX
� Good language skills
� Excellent interpersonal skills
EDUCATION
� Associates or technical degree, but not required
� Training and certificates
� UG NX or CATIA V5 expertise (may need to demonstrate)
EXPERIENCE
� Proficient in sunroof�s mechanical systems or complex mechanical systems
� Experience with implementation and application of GD&T standards
� Plastics injection or metal transformation experience
� OEM knowledge and experience with regards to sunroof specifications and customer trends
� TS 16949 (or OE Quality System) familiarity
� Job experience needed (3-5 years)
� Good understanding of GD&T and its practical application
