The role: Quality Assurance Lead
The Quality Assurance Lead will implement and execute the quality practices within the Billhighway product development team. The individual who wins this role will be someone who has strong competency in both implementing and executing a QA practice, but also in building and leading a QA team over time. The Quality Assurance Lead will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation, execution, and issue resolution around testing, tools, frameworks, and processes to help assure successful, high quality, high performance, and on-time deliveries of applications. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, FDD, or other similar processes. Hands-on experience in manual testing, automated testing, test process implementation, tools, and methodologies is a must.
Candidates should have the ability to develop business and technical knowledge quickly. The QA Lead will be a full-time member of the product development team. The Lead must be an excellent communicator, enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment, willing to challenge the status quo, and able to build excellent working relationships throughout the business. | Duties: | � Leading and evolving the quality practices and processes on the Billhighway product development team
� Analyzing a sophisticated financial software system and designing strategies and plans to effectively validate functionality and behavior
� Coaching, mentoring, and training future QA team members
� Working closely with the product owners and business analysts to ensure QA plans validate acceptance criteria
� Plan, develop, and execute manual and automated tests suites
� Triaging application defects and determine the root cause of any problem
� Supporting internal and external customers in a 2nd �tier capacity
� Recommending system enhancements and improvements
� Developing and maintaining metrics to monitor quality, finding problems before they occur

| Qualifications: | � Bachelor�s degree in Information Systems Management, Business Management, Computer Science or similar field
� Minimum 5 years, but ideally 10 years of software application testing experience
� Deep experience in development and implementation of test strategies and test plans
� Working knowledge of Agile process and Agile engineering/testing practices are key
� Experience in testing transaction based web applications supporting multiple browsers
� Manual acceptance and exploratory testing
� Automated acceptance, performance, UI, and web service testing
� Financial background or experience is a plus
� Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS 2010
� TFS Application Lifecycle Management
� Working knowledge of SQL Server and C# is a plus
� Experience with projects employing continuous integration and continuous deployment
� Experience evaluating and recommending test methodologies, tools, and frameworks
� Strong analytical and product management skills required
� Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with both technical and non-technical professionals at all levels of an organization
� Product and technology savvy. Keeps knowledge up to date with developments in the industry
� Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
� Must be able to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities
� Ability to think creatively under constrained deadlines
