| Description: | Under limited direction, is responsible for the policies, procedures and delivery of services for multiple health care programs under the Public Health Division, Personal & Preventive Health Services area. Participates in the development of divisional policies, procedures and program priorities for the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of communicable and clinical diseases or conditions. Analyzes and evaluates service delivery in terms of priority, program planning, cost delivery, budget and allocation of resources. Participates in the acquisition of additional funding from non County sources for eligible health care programs. Presents program services, objectives, procedures and requests to County management, policy boards and outside agencies. Consults with other local health care representatives and State agencies to identify public health needs and to develop proposals to meet the health care needs of Oakland County. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. |
| Qualifications: | At the time of application, applicants must:
1. Licensure by the appropriate State Board of Practice, as determined by the applicant's profession (Michigan Board of Registration in Medicine, Michigan Board of Nursing, Michigan Board of Dentistry, etc.); AND
2. a. Possess a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Nutrition, Health Education, Public Health, Public Administration or a closely related field; AND
b. Have had at least seven (7) years of full time increasingly responsible experience in a nursing agency, including three (3) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity; OR
3. a. Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Nutrition, Health Education, Public Health, Public Administration or a closely related field; AND
b. Have had at least nine (9) years of full time increasingly responsible experience in a nursing agency, including three (3) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
4. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. |
