Description:Job Summary: This individual will lead our field service and warranty center activities to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction while managing warranty costs. She/he will interact directly with customers to understand and analyze field issues and provide timely information in response to inquiries and concerns. Position Summary: � Lead and manage customer service technicians & engineers � Lead and conduct initial analysis for warranty issue (Li-ion cells, batteries and BMS) � Lead the effort to analyze and track warranty data and trends to improve customer satisfaction and minimize warranty costs � Play a key role in warranty meetings with customers. (Both regular and ad-hoc) � Interact with customers to provide timely analysis reports and close each issue � Documentation and track status of all customer complaints and warranty issues. � Regularly communicate and report the status to the Director of Quality /Warranty and to the team in Korea. � Improve initial analysis tools, process and skills based on best practices and lessons learned in collaboration with the Korea team. � Assist in updates of DFMEAs, PFMEAs, Control Plans and Design Guides for improving future designs � Develop and implement basic warranty response process for the Customer Service Team � Develop, establish and maintain a local LGCPI Li-ion Battery Warranty Center. � Occasional domestic and international travel will be required
Duties:Knowledge/Experience: � Minimum of 3 years automotive experience in a customer service/quality capacity � Experience with North American automotive OEM warranty systems and groups are preferred (for example, Ford AWS) � Knowledge of Li-ion batteries and electronic controls systems with embedded software will be a strong plus � Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross functional team. � First-hand knowledge of 5P/8D or other problem solving methodology. � Able to interpret engineering drawings (preferred) � Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning, and the ability to monitor activities according to priorities.
Qualifications:EDUCATION � Bachelor�s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required. (Electrical could be plus) � Excellent verbal and written English � Ability to interface well with internal and external customers � Ability to work independently or as a lead member on a development team � Demonstrated history of delivering quality automotive embedded software products to market EEO- Principles Only
