| Description: | Responsibilities include working cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning and Finance to insure the successful execution of programs. Specifically, the Purchasing Program Analyst will have accountability for the planning and execution of program timing, and sourcing coordination activities to deliver cost, quality and timing requirements for assigned projects. The analyst will be working closely with our strategic supply base and corporate partners to identify and remove barriers for program success and provide team leadership for capacity management and timing activities. |
| Duties: | � Own collaborative relationship with buyers, development engineers in both US and Japan, and manufacturing locations from new product introduction through launch
� Assist buyers and engineers in forming early relationships with suppliers to support new product development. Be the point of contact for the R&D, Simultaneous Engineering and early sourcing activities.
� Drive alignment between commodity strategies and new product sourcing/development decisions
� Collaborate with suppliers to establish prototype/Design Verification Testing (DVT)/Process Validation (PV) build quantities and material need dates based on program and customer requirements
� As the Purchasing Program Analyst, assess supplier risk for new suppliers and execute mitigation steps as needed
� Establish cost of Goods Sold/Total Cost of Ownership model with current product baseline
� Track VAVE ideas and identify opportunities to drive out costs that can be given to the downstream commodity teams (Engineering, Quality and Purchasing for implementation post launch)
� Work with Sales Management in cost development for new program quotations
� Identify and draft sourcing project plan that allows project manager to monitor key tasks as needed
� Ensure supplier readiness for new product launch
� Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of Purchasing initiatives and drive execution
� Excellent interpersonal skills to apply in communications with business partners, management and corporate personnel
� Agile and flexible. Able to work in a fast moving, demanding environment and move from project to project as needed
� Support procurement, transportation/logistics, Program/Plant Controllers, manufacturing and international functions as necessary
� Document processes and create standard operating procedures for the role of Purchasing Program Analyst
� Participate in VAVE workshops, Supplier Day, and sourcing board events
